How to Hide the HDDPartitions?

This trick is for all those people who wants to hide tons of data into their box. So here it is, if you have very important data in your hard drive placed in some partition which you do not want anybody to see then this trick is only for you!!!

1. Just click on start>run type gpedit.msc

2. Now navigate through user configuration> administrative templates > windows components> windows explorer

3. Double click on “Hide these specified drives in My Computer” modify it accordingly.

4. Then just below you will find another option “Prevent access to drives from My Computer”, double click on this option and modify it accordingly.

5. To make it visible again select "disable" by double clicking on the “Hide these specified drives in My Computer” option.

WARNING : Don't try to experiment with other options in gpedit.msc if you don't know, what exactly your doing. Just have some patience and follow my tutorials regularly, i am going to tell you everything that is configurable in windows [and those also which you thought before, "Seems not possible to change ;-)"

EMO DATABASE - HOW TO REPAIR CONSISTENCY ERROR IN DB

Problem in Printing eMO (Database Corrupted)

While printing the eMOS, an error occurs. The
screen shot is shown. The error shows

Attempt to fetch logical page in database eMO belongs to object eMO Inward not to object eMO Offices

While checking the databases. The database is not in suspect state. While checking the Check db it shows There are some consistency errors.. Then I tried to repair the database with query. This worked for me

The query for corrupted database(Not for Suspected database) with minimum data loss is given below

DBCC checkdb(‘yourDBname’)

ALTER DATABASE yourDBname SET SINGLE_USER WITH ROLLBACK IMMEDIATE

DBCC CheckDB (‘yourDBname’, REPAIR_ALLOW_DATA_LOSS)

ALTER DATABASE yourDBname SET MULTI_USER

while While reporting the matter with PTC Mysore They give a solution. While running the exl file It completed with on error. While consulting the matter with PTC they replied thatIt can occur to some reasons like, network issue and excess size of log files. Please check for network connectivity. if everything is fine please try to shrink the database and check. While clearing the log file and restarting the server the query worked.

25 YEARS OF SPEED POST SERVICE

Shri Kapil Sibal ,Union Minister for Communications and Information Technology today inaugurated the two day annual conference of Heads of Circle of the Department of Posts. A special cover to mark 25 years of Speed Post was also released by the Minister on the occasion. The Minister gave away prizes to top three Postal Circles for generating highest rate of revenue growth in Speed Post during 2010-11, on the occasion.

While Karnataka Circle walked away with the first prize and DG Post’s Rolling Trophy, Jammu and Kashmir Circle and Jharkhand Circle secured the second and third position respectively. Speed Post is the premium Express Mail Service of India Post. It was launched in August, 1986 to meet the “felt-need” of the developing Indian economy. It offers a time-bound and assured delivery of letters, documents and parcels up to 35kg across the nation and around the world.

The Speed Post network is the largest Express Service Network in India. It covers all major towns & cities. Web-based Track and Trace service is provided for Speed Post articles on the India Post website (www.indiapost.gov.in). Insurance facility is also available for sending valuable items under Speed Post, Regular customers enjoy free pick up, credit facility under Book Now Pay Later Scheme and attractive volume based discounts. 

Over the past 25 years, Speed Post has steadily continued to grow in terms of volumes with monthly volumes exceeding 2.5 crore articles in 2011-12. The Department of Posts set-up a Business Development Directorate in 1996 which was re-organized as Business Development & Marketing Directorate in 2005, to provide impetus to business activities concerning Speed Post and a number of other business products.

SQL Server not working-- Unable to connect to Management Studio in SQL Server 2005

On Yesterday I got a call from one of my post office saying that no applications are working . It shows an error that server is not exists. Firstly I thought that it is problem with network connections and I asked them to restart the server machine and try again but then also this error exists. I came to the office and tries to run the application. But seeing the error I thought that this problem with SQL server. On trying to open the SQL server 2005 management studio I got an error. The error is as follows

“A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server) (.Net SqlClient Data Provider) “

First I wondered to see the error while connecting to server 2005. I never come up on such type of error during period as SA. While Contacting fellow Sys Admins they told that they had never come across such errors. While searching for the solutions on net But that not worked for me.

The main check points are

.Make sure your database engine is configured to accept remote connections
Start > All Programs > SQL Server 2005 > Configuration Tools > SQL Server Surface Area Configuration

Click on Surface Area Configuration for Services and Connections
Select the instance that is having a problem > Database Engine > Remote Connections
Enable local and remote connections

Enable the TCP/IP in surface area configuration

Check the fire wall status and off the firewall if it is on and allow exception for programs SQL server and SQL server browser

Enable SQL Server Browser (Start the SQL server browser n service)

But then also I am not able to connect to SQL server management studio. But while restarting the server machine I found that the windows server administrator password was missing. Earlier it requires a password for opening the windows server. Then I got to users (By right clicking computer---Manage----Local User) and set pass word for Administrator (Recreated the earlier Password) and restarted the server.

After this SQL Server is working and I can open management studio correctly.
